Erawan

Erawan is a Thai restaurant situated in Little Chelsea, Wynberg. The menu offers meals straight out of Bangkok like crispy duck and pancakes, Tom Yum Goong which is hot and sour prawn soup with vegetables, coriander and lime leaves. The Ba Me Prik Phao Gai is tender chicken fillet stir fried with yellow egg noodles, fresh vegetables and crunchy cashews in a special roasted chili paste. Erawan is the perfect spot for exotic fresh dishes.

Beautiful venue and an asset to the area, deservedly popular from day one, however must confess the beef was chewy unlike old haunts like Thai World and Tai Ping, and the dim sum had ample fillings but perhaps not as delicate and light as they should be. But that said, may it prosper.
