Food:

Definitely traditional Portuguese fare. The caldeirada beef stew is homely grub that will leave the stomach full and the face smiling. The grilled bacalhau fish in olive oil and garlic is also good for the taste buds. Or opt for prawns with garlic and peri-peri that is probably the Portuguese choice.

Wine:

Large wine list but opt for one of the Portuguese wines on offer to make it an authentic experience.

Service:

Superfriendly, informed and unobtrusive.

Ambience:

Owner Paolo Frazao has managed to create a little village that’s homely and full of life.
