Food:

A unique, food lover’s experience, from the open-plan kitchen where interaction is encouraged and the lack of tins, packets or microwave is obvious. Expect striking presentation, skinny and fat variations on several dishes. You’re spoiled for choice, with excellent sushi (well described), special dietary needs meals, gourmet pizzas, burgers and wraps as well as a menu that caters for fine dining. The focus is on local, fresh organic ingredients, with wine-pairing suggestions on the menu, which changes often.

Wine:

Attention to detail, from the comprehensive selection to useful descriptions – some organic wines and good blends amongst the many award winners and new discoveries. Owner’s selection changes weekly.

Service:

Quick, but unhurried service from motivated staff, especially knowledgeable on pairings from ongoing training.

Ambience:

In view of the bustling centre of town and elevated – great for people-watching. The feel is contemporary retro in the restaurant, with glowing wood floors and exposed ceiling beams, a more rustic lime-washed holiday feel on the deck – perfect for a lazy cocktails or lunch. Local, commissioned art on display is for sale.

And...:

Also a chef school, here the students take part in fun, interesting themed evenings.(CL, September 2010)
