Baby-friendly restaurants

Perhaps it’s their lack of appreciation for steak tartare and pork belly cooked sous-vide, or perhaps it’s because they refuse to eat with a real knife and fork, but there are many establishments who prefer baby to stay at home, with the baby-sitter. While it can be a lot of fun, venturing out into the world with a new mini-person, the prospect of sticking to chain restaurants and places with plastic tablecloths until the little one can pronounce amuse bouche is just a teeny bit depressing, no matter how much you love onion rings and rib specials. (And yes, we really do!)

To help you find some slightly more interesting places to go with your offspring, we’ve put together a list of restaurants that cater for babies. All of the restaurants below have high chairs – or special clip on seats – for babies. That way, you won’t even have to manoeuvre a pram between the tables.
